The limits, written down before you ask
Everyone else writes “powered by cutting-edge AI”. Here is what it actually cannot do, because you will find out eventually and it is better coming from us.
It does not make things up
It answers from a written file about your business and nothing else. Asked something that file does not cover, it says it does not know and points the person to you. That is a deliberate choice: a confident wrong answer about your prices is worse than no answer.
It cannot take payment
It will not process a card, charge anyone, or complete a sale. It gathers the enquiry and hands it over.
It has no access to your systems
Not your accounts, not your orders, not your calendar — unless we deliberately connect something and tell you we have. By default it knows the file and nothing else.
It can still be wrong
It is a language model. It is right the overwhelming majority of the time and it will tell someone to check anything important with you. Anyone who promises you perfect is selling.
There is no magic step
People expect something mysterious here. It is closer to writing a very good staff handbook.
We ask you things
What you sell, what it costs, when you are open, where you deliver, what you will not do, and the questions customers always ask.
We write it down
Into one plain file — the only thing the assistant is allowed to answer from. You can read it. It is your business in writing.
We test it against the awkward ones
Including the questions it should refuse, the things it should not guess, and anyone trying to talk it into something silly.
It stays current
Prices change, hours change. On the Care Plan that file gets updated monthly, so the assistant never quotes last year's price.
There is one on this page, and one on a real shop
The bubble in the corner is ours. It answers from a file about Fynvro Web, it will tell you when it does not know something, and it cannot book you in or take your money — exactly as described above.
There is another running on Backbencher, a Shopify clothing brand, styled in that brand’s colours rather than ours. An assistant should look like part of the site, not like a widget somebody bolted on.
What an assistant costs to keep running
A conversation costs a fraction of a penny in computing. The £45/month Care Plan covers that, your hosting, monthly updates to what the assistant knows, and support. There is no per-message charge and no surprise bill, because there is a hard cap on the account and we watch it.
